It seems like everyone wants to be an entrepreneur, even if they don't really have the skills to do so. From a mission standpoint, it seems like it'd be so much more fulfilling to work on a mission that you're leading, rather than one that your boss is leading. A lot of people get bored with their 9-5 jobs really quickly and seek out a more exciting way to earn their keep. If nothing else, starting your own business can be incredibly exciting. It can also be a money pit that fizzles out within a year or two, especially when its founder doesn't know how to start and maintain a business themselves.

Starting a small business is often so much more difficult than merely working 9-5. At a salaried office job, you have a reliable paycheck and a manageable schedule. You go from working 9-5 to working 24/7 when you start your own business, and you're not going to be able to chill without the fear of going out of business for a long time.

It's very common for people who are lost to seek guidance from ChatGPT, and aspiring small business owners are no exception. ChatGPT tends to validate people's feelings instead of giving them brutally honest advice, which is why it's not surprising that it told this employee that her business idea was genius and would make her a millionaire within two years.
